EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBER INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT FOR A JUST WORLD (JUST) K Haridas was born in Rawang Selangor in March 1950. He had his primary education at the Old Town Primary School in Petaling Jaya. He thereafter continued his school studies at the Bukit Bintang Boys Secondary School in Petaling Jaya. He left for India in 1967 to study at the University of Bombay. He began working with “MRA-Initiatives of Change” in 1970 and continued his involvement with this programme on a full time voluntary basis until 1984. During this period, though he was based in India, he did work with this International Movement in different parts of the World. From 1980 – 1984, he was Business Manager of Himmat Magazine and newsweekly published from Bombay. He returned to Malaysia in 1984 and began his employment career as the Executive Director of the Association for the Promotion of Higher Education in Malaysia, a Non Governmental Organization that serves as an Educational Foundation. He was for two terms the president of the Institute of Public Relations, Malaysia. Education Background

K Haridas has participated in numerous national and international conferences as facilitator, chairman, rapporteur and speaker. His areas of interest relate to inter-faith communication and dialogue, issues of peace, justice, change, mediation and conflict resolution, civilisational issues and communications in general. He is married to Tia and they have three daughters. They presently live in Petaling Jaya.
